    “Glückskatzen” in German. I have no idea whether there’s a corresponding name for them in English. As for the reason.. no clue. Perhaps they got lucky in getting all three colors? 😉
    For lovers of tortoiseshell cats (and cats in general), I heartily recommend “Fudoki” by Kij Johnson. Excellent book.
