Well you pretty much said it all. But maybe I’ll give it another half for the first half hour before it all went pear-shaped.
One and a half slide rules out of five.

I don’t think he even used a slide-rule. A Spirograph, maybe…

I was reading an old A.E. Van Vogt story the other day, and the space traveller had to make some calculations so he took out his slide rule. Then set the dials on his control panel.

I doubt the guy in Sunshine would even know how to use a slide-rule… it takes at least a modicum of intelligence.
