Yessss… you are our playthingssss

CatsMay I introduce to my readers two little additions to our life: Ripley (on the left) and Drusilla (on the right). Just settling in and already hatching evil plans for house domination.

Are you a spinster? ;)

You got something against cats pal? Give me happy housecats instead of smelly, barking, dribbling dogs anyday!

My first pets ever. It’s a strange new experience for me - my girl grew up with cats - but I must admit there’s nothing more relaxing than having a contented little bundle of cat purring on your lap.

I’ve nothing against cats except that I am allergic.

Bummer, that’d turn you off ‘em alright.

Cat truisms:

“Cats are smarter than dogs. You can’t get eight cats to pull a sled through snow.”

“As every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat.”

“Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.”

“Cat’s motto: No matter what you’ve done wrong, always try to make it look like the dog did it.”

“Time spent with cats is never wasted.”

Excellent!

Welcome to the world of real blogging my friend!

They told me, I said “nyah” but it’s true! Warm and fuzzy at Headless Hollow.

BTW, dogs have masters, cats have staff.

Peter,

I’ve had cats all my life and have loved every minute of it. The people that say that cats have no personality CLEARLY have never owned one. We have 5 now and each one is as unique and distinct as any friend I have.

I think that cats are cool because, unlike a dog (who will be pals with anyone who looks at them), you have to earn affection from a cat. When a cat sits in your lap, it’s because they have finally accepted you as “worthy”.

On the other hand, you may just have a warm lap.

They like to keep you guessing. Post more pics of them now and then.
