Upgrading to Lion

Here’s a handy place where you can check to see if your applications are compatible with Apple’s brand new system upgrade, Lion: Roaring Apps. Remember, PowerPC-based software will not run in Lion!

You might also need this Migration Assistant Update. And be sure to read the Ars Technica review and examine the known issues with Adobe products (thanks Guy!).

Upgrade went well. All apps working and now that I cross-graded to Font Agent Pro I no longer have to wait for Extensis to get their shit together.

I can’t believe you’re still using font management programs Guy – Apple’s Font Book has been absolutely fine for me for years now!

I like (and recommend) FontExplorer X from Linotype. Does Font Book auto-activate and deactivate fonts when opening and closing apps or files? If so perhaps I will learn to use it.

It gives you the option of opening the font when opening a file, yes.
